What We Collect
When you use ThePixelField, we collect:
- Account data: If you sign in via Google or Discord, we receive your email address and profile name from the provider. You then choose a display name.
- Pixel data: Every pixel you place is stored with your user ID, coordinates, color, and timestamp.
- Usage data: We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous page views and performance metrics. No personal identifiers are included.
We do not collect passwords (authentication is handled entirely by Google/Discord via Supabase Auth).
How We Use Your Data
- Display name & pixels: Shown publicly on the canvas, activity feed, and leaderboard.
- Email: Used only for account identification. We will never send you marketing emails or share your email with third parties.
- Analytics: Used to understand traffic and improve the site.
Cookies & Advertising
- Auth cookies: Set by Supabase to maintain your login session.
- Advertising: We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ad Settings. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted in the EU/US) and Vercel. We retain pixel data indefinitely as part of the collaborative canvas. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability

Children
ThePixelField is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
